Our first Spring Ball was a huge success!
We did it! We had our first Food4Africa Spring Ball and, according to the 220 people who were there and the tremendous comments we have received since, it was an overwhelming success.
We raised a marvellous £6,574! This means we can provide 65,740 meals for our 17,000 children. The ticket price covered the event expenses so all of the money raised on the night will be used to feed children.

And, most importantly, thank you to our dear guests, for coming and supporting us.
Your wonderful comments on the night and since have been very welcome…from the fantastic feedback about the event (you loved it!) to the resounding ‘sign us up for next year!’.

We are delighted to announce our Spring Gala Ball to be held on 17 March 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow.
The programme for the evening will be:
7.00pm: Drinks reception, followed by dinner & entertainment
1.00am: Carriages
The ticket price of £40 includes:
- Drinks reception
- 3 Course dinner (with wine on the table)
- Live band and entertainment
(tables of 10 people)
The Crowne Plaza hotel is offering our guests an overnight stay for £87 bed and breakfast (per room – max 2 people). Please book rooms direct with the hotel – and book early to avoid disappointment as this great deal is available until December 2011.

Squash Legends Legacy
We are so proud that the Squash Legends are supporting Food4Africa!
The Legends have teamed with F4A to raise money to build a squash court in a rural community in South Africa. They will also raise money to help feed the local children who will enjoy the new court.
Big thanks to Jonathon Power, Peter Nicol, Anthony Ricketts, Simon Parke, Steven Meads, Nick Taylor, John White and Tim Garner.
Jonathon has also agreed to head out to South Africa to launch the court when it is built.
Who knows, one day Food4Africa and the Legends might help to nurture the next world champion!

Spanish Cycle Ride
Hi Folks
Please support Alison and Colin!
They got married in January and on 4th September 2010 they are getting the train from Glasgow to Plymouth and then the ferry to Spain for a month long ‘wedding Vuelta’ (cycling tour).
They will be cycling 800 miles in 22 days in Spain – in total travelling 2600 miles by train, ferry and leg power – and hoping to raise lots of money for Food4Africa UK.
